LAGOS STATE RESIDENTS DECIDES TODAY AT LOCAL GOVERNMENT ELECTIONS

Residents of Lagos today, Saturday, July 24th, 2021, come out to vote for candidates that would pilot their affairs at the grassroots.

It was reported that the Lagos State government on Thursday announced a restriction of movement between 8:00 am and 3:00 pm.

Residents have turned out in various locations to cast their ballots in polling units across local councils in the state to elect their local government chairmen and councilors for a fresh four-year term

The polls is open across the 20 Local Government Areas and 37 Local Development Areas of the state.

With further observation of the election, Unit 09 Ward L2, Lateef Jakande Road in Ikoyi where Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwoolu is cast his vote was of  less activity at 9:00 am.

Party agents and newsmen were already on the ground waiting for election officials.

Also by 8.30 am: Some voters had already arrive at the polling units 012 and 013 in Ojodu Primary School in Ojodu LGA of Lagos State.

Although no electoral official arrived later  security operatives are present to keep things coordinated.
