IKEJA GAS LINE LEAKAGE UNDER NOW UNDER CONTROL – NEMA

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has said that its men have brought the Ikeja Gas line leakage under control.Recall that the Agency had earlier alerted Ikeja residents to avoid open fire following a massive gas leakage in some parts of the area.
The affected areas are computer Village/Underbridge Awolowo Way, Oba Akran axis, Onifowose Street, Medical Road.
Giving update on the development, NEMA, in a statement said it had been contained and people can go on their daily routine.
It added that the traffic diversion around the areas are still in force. “The affected gas pipeline has been depressurized and the risk of fire has been eliminated, therefore residents and business owners are advised to resume their normal activities.”
