Benue police arrest 8 notorious robbers that terrorizing residents

The Police in Benue State, in a show of superior power, has arrested 8 armed robbers said to have terrorized residents of the state capital of Makurdi, Katsina- – ala in the past 3 years.
Based on a tip-off from well meaning residents to the police chief, Wale Abass, he mobilized a crack team to confront the hoodlums in Wadata area of the town. The 8 hoodlums were subsequently nabbed with the police recovering dangerous weapons from the suspects.
In a terse statement by the command, it states:
Following reports of cult activities in Wadata, Makurdi, Benue state. A team of police officers from ‘A’ Division Makurdi, were sent to the area to liase with the good people of the area on 2nd march, 2022 at about 0500hrs. The following person’s were arrested , Iliyasu Ibrahim, Umar Yakubu, Shamshin Suleiman, Usman Hassan, Mohammed Adamu, Dauda Nasiru, Adamu Mohammed and Ashfa Shehu. Exhibits recovered from them include; two locally made pistols with live cartridge, six knives, one touch light and an axe. Case under investigation.
Meanwhile Abass has cherged his DPOs to occupy public space and ensure that criminal elements are rooted out of their jurisdictions.
