Report gathered that Akala, a prominent son of Ogbomoso, died in his sleep in the early hour of today, Wednesday, 12th Jan 2022.
His death came exactly one month after Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Jimoh Oyewumi, joined his ancestors.
Akala, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, was a former governor of the state, between 2007 and 2011.
Details of this death were sketchy as at press time, a family source said that the information has been shared with the government of Oyo, a state he presided over some years ago.
