As the world celebrate World’s mental health Day which is globally celebrated 10th October yearly Media practitioner and the lead creative at Blackhemages Media Concepts, Tunmise Kuku joined her voice to speak for the mental health and well being of Men.
Addressing journalist at a press conference held in Lagos, Tunmise Kuku called for destigmatise mental health questions so we don’t err to the side of mental ill health all the time”. she stated “Being intentional about navigating life requires a truckload of self-awareness, and dare I say, most of us were not necessarily given tools to navigate the valleys of life.
Citing her condition as a person living with Bipolar affective disorder, it became imperative for her to join this conversation. Speaking on the event coming up on November 23 tagged: “A Fight for Life”, dedicated to men and addressing the silent epidemic of suicide amongst men, A Fight for Life is a day retreat for men hosted by Mindfully with Tunmise. The objective is simple, Create a psychologically safe space for men to be men, with professional speakers and mental health advocate on ground, creating a space for men to be healthy for themselves and, by extension, their families come November 23 2024 at The Rembradnt Hall Ikeja.
Mindfully, with tunmise, an arm of the blackhemages media concept, is creating a platform where Men will be talking to men, men will connect with who and what they are outside social norms men will connect with their inner child that has been silenced and will be given tools to rise like the phoenix from the ashes of expectations.
