Disaster Management :NSCDC assures Nigerian Red Cross Of Support,wants strong collaboration

The State Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Anambra State Command, Mr. Everestus C. Obiyo JP+ has assured the Nigerian Red Cross Society Anambra State Branch of support and collaboration in the management of disaster and emergency rescue operations.
He gave the assurance today , Wednesday, 9th of February, 2022, when he played host to a delegation of the society ,led by Mr. Okafor Remigius who visited the State Command Headquarters, Awka. Mr. Obiyo assured the delegation of the Corps collaborative assistance to alliviate all kinds of human sufferings without any form of discrimination. “Maintaining relations with Nigerian Red Cross is extremely important for the NSCDC hence the need for us to work as a team”, he said.
Earlier, Mr. Fidelis Ikeji , expressed appreciation to State Commandant for the quick response accorded their advocacy visit. He assured the State Commandant that the society is forever satisfied with the cooperation NSCDC renders to the Society in its humanitarian task of assisting disaster victims.
The visit ended with discussions on identifying ways to strengthen and deepen the existing collaboration between NSCDC and Red Cross as well as ensuring continued cooperation.
