ENDSARS PANEL SUBMITS REPORT

The Judicial Panel of Inquiry on restitution for victims of Police Brutality, assault
and other matters today submitted its reports to the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-olu at the Lagos State Government House, Alausa, Ikeja, reports Citizen NewsNG .
The Panel was set up one year ago following public outcry by victims of Police Brutality.
Citizen NewsNG recall that in October 2020, Youths and Rights Activists across the state and Nigeria staged massive Protests to call government’s attention to incivility and injustice subjected to in the hands of the proscribed Federal SARS.
The Unrest however reached climax October 20, 2020 when Officers of the Nigerian Army stormed the Lekki Tollgate of the protest to restore normalcy; an action which turned violence and led to destruction and looting of public Infrastructures and private Businesses in the state and across the country.
