Lagos PCRC welcomes CP Alabi, makes Ayo Ogunsan grand patron for community engagement

The Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) in Lagos has thrown its weight behind the leadership of the new Lagos Commissioner of Police, CP Abiodun Alabi.
The association expressed its confidence in the capacity of the new CP when they welcomed him yesterday.
Speaking briefly with Oki Samson of Trek Africa Newspaper, the Chairman of Lagos PCRC, Apostle Kehinde Showemimo noted: ‘This is a special welcome to the CP. All the leaders of the PCRCs in Lagos were present to welcome the Commissioner of Police, CP Sylvester Abiodun Alabi. We charge the new CP, of course we know that he is a community-inclined police officer, to engage the community more so we can ensure crime prevention and control.’
Also during the welcome event, the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) in Lagos hailed the huge support it has enjoyed from a member of the Board of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF), Dr. Ayo Ogunsan. Thus, they declared and confer him the Grand Patron of the association and honored him with the prestigious Pillar of Support Award.
On the award, Sowemimo noted: ‘Dr. Ogunsan is a great supporter of the Police and Police-Community engagement. That is why he was awarded. We made him the Grand Patron and a member of Pillars of Support team.’
