Lagos State will be the State with the highest employment In Nigeria- Sanwo-Olu

The Lagos State governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has promised to make Lagos the most employeable state in the country through various collaboration from partners and stakeholders who are concern with the issue of unemployment in the state, he made the statement at the summit of the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF) and the Ministry of Economic Planning and Budget (MEPB) themed “Sustainable Job Creation Strategist, Collective Action and Prosperity” the summit which started from 3rd to 4 march 2022, taking at Eko hotel and suites Victoria Island Lagos.
The governor said Lagos state has 37% unemployed youths out of other states in the country and this is a major challenge his administration is working to put an end to, through the unrelenting spirit associated with Lagos state, he believes the way the state over came covid 19, we will overcome the issue of unemployment. speaking further he said this year’s edition of the Summit will foster deliberations about progressive economic and social solutions to unemployment problems in the state he therefore ask LSETF to come up with a budget that they can work with and it will be doubled through the help of partners like Access Bank, first bank, sterling bank and others working together with LSETF to ensure prosperity goes round and through the youths.
he concluded that the aim is to make Lagos state employment trust funds a global brand that is bestowed with helping the youths get and stay employed.
Other speakers at the event include Ina Hommers Country Director Nigeria ECOWAS GFX, and Mr Kalim Shah Senior Country Manager PC who also promised his organization’s readiness to join hands with LSETF to ensure unemployment is reduced to beareast in Lagos state, he thank the governor and the team members of LSETF for the flag off of this event.
This year’s Summit, which will feature 90 speakers and 15 plenary, presentation, and breakout sessions, designed to further discuss innovative and sustainable approaches to job creation, drawing experiences, expertise, and interventions of notable local and international institutions, including public, private, and non-profit organizations.
