Ogun State Amotekun Nabs Two For Looting The Dead

Two Truck- pushers in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun state, are currently being detained at Igbeba police station for looting the property of the dead. They were nabbed by eagle-eyed Operatives of the Amotekun corps.
A source said the suspects, Adeniyi Adeife and Seimu Mohammed, last week, were seen by a neighbor of the deceased man scurrying around the deceased man, late A.A.Ogunbayo’s house in Onirugba area of the ancient town.The neighbor alerted operatives who kept surveillance in that area for few days.
The suspects fell into the hands of the operatives soon as they had invaded the deceased man house and carted away household items such as mattress, cooking gas, gas cylinder, TV set and empty bottles of soft drinks and kept them in their carts. Unknown to them that the security agents were trailing them they headed towards a place suspected to be abode for receiving stolen goods. The operatives therein swooped on them.
A source said the suspects have confessed to the crime.
Similarly, a 35 years old barber based in Ogere has been nabbed for receiving stolen Laptop.The suspect, Tunde Oguniyi was reported to have bought a Dell Laptop worth N130, 000 for N13,000 from Ibrahim Qudus who had stolen the said Laptop from his former employer.
While the two suspects have confessed,
two other young men who invaded Government Model School in Ago-iwoye are in the corps net for stealing 3 fans from the school.
Commander of the corps, Mr David Akinremi warned Ogun state residents to be careful with what they buy and from whom they buy from.
