Scores Fear Dead, Others Injured As BRT Bus Collides With Moving Train In Ikeja

A Train and Bus in Transit (BRT) have collided in the Ikeja area of Lagos on Thursday morning, March 9.
Several passengers are feared dead following the impact of the collision.
The accident occurred at Adekunle Fauyi way in Ikeja, Lagos state. Eyewitness report the bus driver was trying to speed through train rails while the train was approaching hope to have cross before the train gets to it.
Recall that one person has been feared dead in an accident involving a trailer, an 18-seater bus belonging to GUO motors, a Sienna car, Toyota Corolla and a Toyota Matrix car.
The crash occurred on Thursday morning, February 9, on the Kara Bridge axis of Lagos-Ibadan Expressway and has caused heavy gridlock on the bridge inwards Opic and has also extended beyond Berger affecting outbound movement to Lagos.
According to eye witness report, the trailer rammed the vehicles from behind which led to the Toyota Matrix car falling off the bridge.
The number of casualties is currently unknown. However, the unconscious body of a hawker was seen lying on the road.
